The Musical Director is Clare Gillespie, music therapist, lecturer and flautist, who is passionate about the many ways in which music and the arts can promote and enhance health and wellbeing across the lifespan.

The choir brings together people from across Borders Health and Social Care Partnership and Clare endeavours to create a safe and welcoming space each week, where all voices can be heard. Song, laughter and friendship are at the heart of the choir community and we are always keen to welcome in new members. There is no audition and no requirement to be able to read music, although we do use written music as an aid to memory.

We look forward to welcoming you into our special community.

“Hearing our music after we practice is a delight.
It calms me from thinking of all the pressures of work and life.”

“It really gives me an endorphin rush, even after a long day of work,
it’s well worth going and feeling so great afterwards”
